Griffin Brown is a pianist, drummer, composer, poet, songwriter, and vocalist based in Brooklyn. Described by The Wire as “impressive” and “original,” his musical work collides idioms like concert music, jazz, electronic, experimental pop and rock, and improvised music. His poetry appears in The Paris Review, Plume, Poetry Northwest, Prelude, and elsewhere. He has performed/premiered music throughout the US and Europe and shared stages with many international voices across genres. He studied music composition and English at Yale and loves helping students find their voice on piano, drums, and composition.
