RACHEL COHEN

Rachel Cohen is a pianist and music educator based in Kew Gardens. She is happy to be back in New York after two years traveling the world and working as a music director for Norwegian Cruise Line. She has also performed and music directed for amusement parks across the country (including Dorney Park, Six Flags Over Texas, and California’s Great America) with Windish Entertainment. Rachel is also active in the musical theatre scene in New York. She has music directed and played keys for over 100 productions throughout the tri-state area, and recently music directed two readings of new musicals: Crimson Lit (The Tank) and Paper Brigade (The Drama League). She has also spend several summers music directing at Interlakes Summer Theatre in New Hampshire. Prior to her theatre career, Rachel was a full-time teacher for 10 years up until 2020, first at Long Ridge Music Center in Stamford, CT, and then running her own studio throughout Westchester and Fairfield counties. She provides a positive teaching environment while giving her students a comprehensive music education.
