Evan MaiN

Evan Main is a pianist in New York City, where he moved after graduating from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music in 2018. Evan is a longtime student of Luke Gillespie, and also worked closely with Walter Smith III, John Raymond, Steve Houghton, and Dave Stryker during his time in Indiana. Evan seeks to make music with substance and integrity, and enjoys playing a wide array of new music and jazz repertoire with other musicians in New York and elsewhere — as a teacher, Evan aims to develop students' holistic appreciation and understanding of music in addition to fundamentals and reading ability, so that they too can ultimately pursue the type of music study and performance that they're most interested in.
