DERian Trahan

Derian Trahan is a saxophonist, guitarist, pianist, and songwriter with a background in classical and contemporary music. Earning his bachelors from the University of Texas at Austin, where he played in community wind ensembles in the Austin area. Now in NYC he has occupied his musical time as a multi instrumentalist for local groups and has contributed to various projects. An advocate of consistent practice, Derian strives to teach his students to improve their musicianship through the ear and eye. He focuses on improving one’s music literacy and confidence through an emphasis on the fundamentals of one’s instrument.
